Wildlife watching, as its name indicates it, consists of observing the natural biological diversity of an area with a recreational, educational or research aim. Most commonly, this activity is centered around birds, but can equally be pursued as observation of other fauna as well as flora.

The far north (Norte Grande), which extends from the Peruvian border to about 27° south latitude, a line roughly paralleled by the Río Copiapó, is extremely arid. It contains the Atacama Desert, one of the driest areas in the world.

While throughout Chile the skies are good for observation, the northern skies are far superior to those in the south. The sky of the "Small North" region of Chile is recognized worldwide as the clearest and most transparent of the southern hemisphere.

The hike to Glacier Grey is amazing, and the glacier is huge and amazing. The end of the hike, you can take a boat across lago grey and leave the park.

The National Park Torres del Paine is, without doubt, one of the most spectacular national parks in the country. Without doubt, one of the major attractions of the park is the Paine Massif, mostly composed of granite, and originated 12 million years ago.
